4th Annual Bluegrass and Barbeque
is set for April 19, 2008

We are excited to announce that The Grascals are returning as our featured entertainers this year. Bluegrass and Barbecue was a hugh success last year and it is sure to be this year with such a wonderful group performing. Opening for the Grascals will be the Ward Family, The Red Hill Hollow Boys, Green on the Vyne and the Rocky Top Review Square Dancers and a couple of other bands to be announced. Dinner starts at 4:30 and entertainment at 6:30.

It will be held in the auditorium at Ninth Grade Academy. There is limited seating so get your tickets now!

Tickets are $25.00 each, $15.00 for children 12 and under.

In ceremonies held on Sunday, February 5, 2007 the SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America - a.k.a. Spig'ma) named The Grascals the Instrumental Group of the Year. Other awards given to the Grascals include Bluegrass Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Mandolin Performer of the year for Danny Roberts.

The Grascals took home four trophies at the 2006 Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards Show, held in Nashville. Their self-titled debut CD for Rounder Records was named Album of the Year , while their current single, "Me and John and Paul," took home Song of the Year honors. The band was also voted Instrumental Group of the Year, while Danny Roberts was honored with the Mandolin Performer of the Year award.

The Grascal's won the IBMA's Emerging Artist of the Year and Song of the Year honors.
