The first printing of the Heritage Book of Lincoln County was delivered in December 2005. All of the books were sold in December or shortly afterwards and due to the demand for more books the Heritage Book Committee has placed an order for another 600 books. This may be your last chance to acquire one of these beautiful books. The Lincoln County Heritage Book Committee is accepting pre-publication orders for a REPRINT of the Lincoln County Heritage Book. The second printing of the book is expected to be available in mid-September 2006. Click to the right to place an order or to get an Order Form. The finished product is large, over 9 x 12 inches and consists of over 900 pages of Fayetteville/Lincoln County history, family histories and stories, communities, schools, churches, military veterans, many pages of old photos and much, much more. This beautiful book has a maroon cover with gold lettering and has the county seal on it, designed by the advanced history class at Lincoln County High School. The inside front cover shows many different views of the Old Stone Bridge surrounding an Old Stone Bridge painting by Mr. Ford Scott, Fayetteville’s most well known artist. The back inside cover features a large map of Lincoln County showing most all known communities along with their previous names. Cost of the Reprint will be $75.00 picked up locally or 84.00 shipped, tax included. Those ordering books for local pickup will be notified either by phone or email when the books arrive.
